The components for the kit are cut by a laser into the card and/or MDF. To keep the parts on the card there are some small tabs that you will need to cut.

When you want to remove a piece from the card, cut through the remaining lines to release the part.

I use superglue and white wood glue for construction: the superglue is used for small parts as it bonds fairly quickly (within 3 seconds) and the white glue for larger parts but feel free to use whatever glue you are comfortable with.

  1. Gate house front and back
  2. Inner sides
  3. Outer sides and bottom
  4. Gatehouse top
  5. Watchtower base
  6. Watchtower sides (for roofed watchtower)
  7. Watchtower battlements (for unroofed tower)
  8. Watchtower roof (for roofed tower)
  9. Gatehouse battlements

Start by finding the front and back pieces as well as the inner sides (1) and (2)

Remove the doors for now but keep them safe

Glue the inner sides to one of the front and back pieces as shown

Next glue one of the outer sides on as shown (3)

Then glue the other outer side on

Next attach the other front/back piece

Finally attach the gatehouse top (4)

Fold the watchtower base as shown and glue (5)

The watchtower can either be constructed with a roof (parts (6) and (8) or simply with battlements (7).

To construct the roofed version, glue on the sides. You can attach the roof or you can leave it unglued (this makes placing miniatures easier)

You can use some of the corrugated card included in the kit to make the roof a corrogated one (glue the corrogated card onto this roof piece so that it is stronger)

Fold up the battlements as shown and glue them

Cut off the tabs from the two gate pieces and glue them together

You can glue the door in place or you can leave it free. We leave it free.

Finally glue the watchtower and the battlements to the top of the gatehouse

Then read about how to use the scrap sheets
