Quick and easy results without an airbrush
Step 1: undercoast with a cheap grey primer
Step 2: heavy drybrush with gunmetal (in this case, Leadbelcher)
Step 3: apply the basecoats with a very thin watery layer
I did a second coat on the top and the top half of the sides here
Step 4: use a dish sponge and apply dark brown (in this case GW Dryad Bark)
… or go heavy. Up to you
Step 5: Apply a second coat with a lighter brown (in this case GW Gorthor Brown)
Step 6: Apply a final very sparse coat with an orange (in this case GW Jokaero Orange). Less is more.
Step 7: finally, do a wash with agarax earthshade. Done!
