Painting shipping containers (10min, no airbrush)

Quick and easy results without an airbrush

Step 1: undercoast with a cheap grey primer

Step 2: heavy drybrush with gunmetal (in this case, Leadbelcher)

Step 3: apply the basecoats with a very thin watery layer

I did a second coat on the top and the top half of the sides here

Step 4: use a dish sponge and apply dark brown (in this case GW Dryad Bark)

You can apply it lightly…

… or go heavy. Up to you

Step 5: Apply a second coat with a lighter brown (in this case GW Gorthor Brown)

Step 6: Apply a final very sparse coat with an orange (in this case GW Jokaero Orange). Less is more.

Step 7: finally, do a wash with agarax earthshade. Done!
