Before you beginMake images smaller | Make images bigger

The components for the kit are cut by a laser into the card. To keep the parts on the card some of the cuts are incomplete.

When you want to remove a piece from the card, look for the incomplete lines. You will only need to cut these lines to release the part.

I use superglue for construction for the smaller parts as it bonds fairly quickly (within 3 seconds). For the larger parts, normal white wood glue works perfectly (especially for gluing the outer layer to the inner)

Part 1 - bottom level

If you look at all the parts, you will see tiny roman numerals etched into the bottom left hand corner.

The basic structure of the building is made of 2 layers of card. Outer layer I will be glued to inner layer I, II to II, III to III etc.

Start by locating the parts for the inner layer of the ground floor. These have a series of horizontal lines etched on them and are numbered I to VII

Pre-bend all the folds so that the model is easy to work with.

Fold down part I and glue it in place.

Do part II next

Fold down part V and fold and glue part VI to part VII and glue it in place.

Glue part IV to the back of the model

Now on to the second (outer) layer

This layer adds detail and also adds a ply to the structure, preventing warping. If you are using white glue, make sure you get good coverage on all parts of the pieces

Start by locating pieces I, II and III and glue them to the corresponding inner pieces.

Glue them in order: I then II

II sticks out a little... this is so that part III can rest against it.

Next glue the rear wall(part IV) on to its inner piece.

Make sure the holes line up.

Find the door frame and add that too (see insert)

Find parts V, VI and VII

Glue them in place. making sure the holes line up.

In the first production run of the shop, the holes on part V did not quite line up. This was corrected for the second run. If your holes in part V do not line up, simply cut out the piece of card that is causing the problem from the inner wall.

You do not have to cut the card at all if you are intending to permanently glue the sign boards to the wall.

The hole is only needed if you want to make your sign boards removable (this is recommended)

Add the roof edging to the top of the building

Finally, add the two bits of skirting to the sides of the building beneath the shuttered windows.

Part 2 - top level

The top loevel is constructed in almost exactly the same way as the bottom.

The pictures say it all.

Fold the pieces down in the same order as you did for the bottom level and glue them in place

The outer layer is also added in the same way, 1 piece at a time, in the same order as the bottom level

As a final step, add the roof piece

Part 3 - the awnings and advertising sail

Remove the pieces of the rear door awning

Glue the support struts together and then glue them to the bottom layer of the awning

Then attached the top layer.

If you are going to remove this awning after each game, I recommend you add a few drops of superglue to the tabs that stick into the building

This will strengthen them

Remove the pieces for the advertising signs that go either side of the front door

Assemble and glue them as shown

Remove the parts for the advertising sail

Glue the support struts together to make a 2mm thick part.

Bend the sail around a large tube to put a curve in it (I used my bottle of white glue). Make sure the horizontal lines are on the inside of the curve

Using the horizontal lines as a guide, glue the sail to the support struts.

Part 4 -final details

There are several neon light tubes that are included in the kit

These can be glued wherever you feel like around the model

To assemble the airconditioner, remove the parts from teh frame and pre-bend the main part

Glue the edges of the main part together and then add the sides

Finally, add the details
